I often try to support local businesses, not just in a slow
economy, but in everything I do. I think it can only
strengthen our sense of community.
I've also listed some of my favorite places for specialty
ingredients.
I also try to support ventures of friends and clients.

Tapia Bros. Market - Hayvenhurst & Burbank Blvd., Encino Farm fresh produce - a lot of it is grown near
the farm stand.
Ranch 99 Market - great Asian ingredients. The best price in town for soy sauce and tofu and you have
at least 10 brands to choose from.
